Vivien Weiss is a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for 30 years.

In addition to having a general practice treating individuals, couples, adolescents and families, she offers an area of specialty: working with survivors of long term, life threatening illnesses, primarily cancer. In supporting these individuals, she also offers help to their family members, recognizing the impact of illness on the entire family system. Besides individual and family work, she facilitates groups. Currently she is facilitating two caregiver support groups, one gynecological cancer group and one bereavement group.

Vivien is a graduate of Pomona College and Antioch New England  Graduate School. She has been a psychotherapist in both inpatient and  outpatient settings. She is a support group facilitator at Cancer Connection, a non-profit organization offering cancer survivors a variety of services free of charge. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and has experience working with post traumatic stress disorder.

She is also available for phone or Skype consultation for people  who are newly diagnosed with cancer or struggling with its emotional impact and the myriad of choices they must make .
